I realised the other day I have 6 packs (not counting daypacks) which is obviously too many for one Wombat, so I am going to see if anyone wants to buy one off me
The first offer is a virtually new (one overnight walk) Macpac Ascent which I bought 12 months ago. Currently selling on the Macpac website for $399 (or $360 if you are a member). Asking $160 plus postage within Australia OR ALTERNATELY MAKE ME AN OFFER WE BOTH CAN LIVE WITH :D
cheers

Size 2 You can find the sizing here http://www.macpac.com.au/packs/packs-mountain/11657.html

Hi,

I've checked the sizing chart but it is a little hard to measure correctly, i'm 5"10 so do you think this would fit me. I'm looking to carry around 25kgs in the vic high country for 7 days so would the pack handle the capacity?

Cheers Michael

Hi Michael
I suspect at 5'10" you might be a little too tall for this. As for the 25 kgs, it would depend whether it was 25kgs of feathers or 25 kg of gold. It was designed for mountaineering, typical load there would be 25kgs
cheers

I'm 6"1 and the size 3 does me. It was very borderline though. Its a very close fitting pack.

I'd be more concerned about the amount of weight that you want to put in it though. The harness on the Ascent is not as well padded as other packs, so it may be a little uncomfortable. That said, I carry anywhere up to 17kgs in mine with no problems at all. When I bought mine, the girl at Macpac told that anywhere above 15 - 17kgs would be pushing it.

For anyone else giving this one some thought, this is a damn fine pack.
