I have for sale a MONTANE VENTURE JACKET MENS size M in Black. RRP $469. Selling for $180 shipped in Australia.
The jacket for the most part utilises a 3-layer eVent fabric (which is widely regarded as one of the most breathable WPB fabrics around) but has a stronger reinforced fabric on the shoulders to stand up to wear from backpacks. It is a very high quality jacket and I highly recommend it. It is in great condition, has been used carefully and I have restored the DWR using Nikwax products for the sale. Despite the manufacturer describing the colour as black, to my eye it has always been a dark navy.

Did you compare current pricing at Mainpeak.com.au, a major dealer for Montane locally?

They don't have size M in stock - their clearance is on outlier sizes. Best of luck finding a Medium at that price.

Thank you. If you are interested in purchasing the jacket, you can make me a reasonable offer via PM. I personally think that $250 for a 3-layer eVent jacket is a screaming deal, which is why I listed it at that price (half what I paid for it, plus postage).

Id be tempted in this, thing is places like backpackinglight has them selling on their forums new for 180. last one was reduced to 140 before it sold. Price of the jackets doesn't go with the sell price I know, just the way the market is right now. I'll think on it and make an offer if noone else snags it.
Also, not entirely sure on the rules here.If I need to post a link for the price match I can.

montane have discontinued most of their shells and replaced them with new designs hence the old designs being sold off at such a greatly reduced price...

I have no vested interest in the sale process, however I do recommend the jacket completely.
Have given it a good work out in Northern Spanish Forests and high mountains (high rainfall area) and it breathes very well. Hood is great size and fit, cuffs work with gloves, long tail, durable where needed.
Not sure why you're selling it!
