Having spotted a couple of new toys on the net ,it is time for me to sell the Brooks Range Propel since I will never use it anyway.

This is the exact same tent Ray Estrella reviewed for Backpackgear test .
I gave him a new TT SS2 in exchange.
I purchased this shelter not intending to use it but simply because I had suggested that geometry to another tent manufacturer so just wanted to see how it looks in reality.
See the product description and review here :
http://brooks-range.com/Propel-Tent.html
comes with pegs and 3 poles (ridge pole and two side poles) at 1215g.
if you use your trekking poles it would be 1055g.
I slept inside it (on my lawn) a few nights and Ray took it for a few trips but still looks in very good conditions.
Asking $250 dselivered. (about $440AU new delivered to Australia)

Oh this Brand is a very good albeit not well known by many.
What a great price!.
I'd buy it Franco but I have a tent I want to sell too - Mountain Hardwear Weather Station.
I own a Brooks Range Alpini anorak - their gear is superb, and very well respected in Alaska and the Lower 48
This is a great tent - and price!
P.S - Franco didn't pay me for this post...lol

The Alpini is getting some good press.
Right in between the Flash and Flight in the WM range .
Nearly half of the weight of the Alpini is in down!

The Propel is along those lines.
No frills but just enough.
The guyout points are very impressive and definitely snowpeg friendly.
Beats (in my view) being inside a bivy.
It would be OK for two climbers not over 180cm, but at 1100-1200g pretty good for one.
Not the kind of shelter suited for most of the bushwalking I do but would work over the tree line.
I have my eyes on another shelter that I just want to fiddle with...
