Hi,

I'm looking at downsizing my Exped Sirius 2 tent for something such as a Macpac Microlight or something else lighter and smaller - I'm mostly doing solo walking and the Exped is just a bit too heavy and big for me when I am by myself. I'm in launceston.

So what's the state-of-play with this ? I sent a PM not long after the ad was posted and no reply and I see that merlin & tibboh have done so also. Would've been nice to have the courtesy of a response at least but the silence has been deafening. Calling Dannydanny.....are you there ?

Yep Merlin.....I've give-up on Danny-boy and his Exped Sirius tent. The old saying "when something appears too good to be true....then it probably is" springs to mind with this one. I ended-up buying a Exped Venus 2 in the meantime and it looks the goods to me. I actually had a look at a set-up Syrius in Mountain Designs in Melb today.....good looking very roomy tent but BIG....quite long and it'd a squeeze setting it up in a few of my favourite winter haunts I think so Danny not replying may have been a blessing in disguise me-thinks. Cheers

Thanks for the info on that sambar.I have actually been looking a bit more myself as I'd pretty much given up hope of hearing from Danny. I'll check out the Venus, Cheers.
