{TAS HBT} WTB 2 man 3/4 season tent

Hi
I am looking for a 2 man 3/4 season tent, in good condition but most of the gear being sold on this site is in great condition :).
I am after it as an upgrade, so I can do a few overnight walks with my eldest son rather than just day walks.

Steve

Hi Skog/Wilko
I've got a Vango Tempest 200 I'd be willing to part with, has seen one day of use.
It is this exact tent (I purchased it from the reviewer about 8 months ago). http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-bin ... 09KlPmSyz4

More of a meander than a hijack :D Buyer and seller matched. What could be more appropriate :)

I dont usually weigh in on such issues but I must say I find this pretty didappointing. This was skogs wanted to buy thread and I would have thought he would have had first dibs.

It would be appropriate if the item was sold to the OP rather than another member taking the thread as an opportunity to barge in first.

I'll respectfully disagree, Wilkography posted a very similar request a month before skog viewtopic.php?f=13&t=16490

I replied in this thread as they were both present, rather than replying in both threads or posting a new thread. Wilko got in first, so it's his.
Also worth noting is that they both have joined the forums to buy a tent they are both relatively new members [Edit to make it less judgemental]. If all else was equal, I would have offered it to the established member.
The only possible error is on my behalf, I maybe should have replied to Wilko's post as well.

I am not fussed that Wilko got in first as that is the way it goes sometimes.
But I didn't join this forum to just buy a tent. I joined as I wanted to eexplore more remote areas with my son and this seemed like a place to learn about other people's experiences.

At the end of the day it is just a tent..

My apologies dinna89. I did not realise he also had a thread. As I said I don't usually pass comment on thread hijacks I just thought it was out of place as it reads above in the context of this thread. Apologies again.

My apologies if I have upset anyone, most importantly Skog.

I too joined this website because I wanted to be part of the community and share my travels and photos, I am in desperate need of a tent and have been waiting for one for a while now so that I can get out there and explore.

My thread went up a few weeks ago and when I saw this one I joined in without the intent of hijacking as someone called it. I just wanted to have an opportunity to buy a tent if one came up and when the reply mentioned my name I took the opportunity, It was addressed to us both!

Skog will get a tent without anyone needing to worry themselves about it, most people here seem to be lovely, there is gear coming up all the time and I will be keeping my eye out for him as well.

Tell you what though Steve, I will meet you somewhere sometime and its my shout for a beer/coffee/sandwich and a chuckle at all of this, thanks for your understanding.

Dinna89 thanks for the gear.

Cheers

All good, I can see where you were coming from, I just wanted to clarify so as not to become a Bushwalk pariah!!!
Now somebody offer steve a tent!

Hi Guys and Girls

I am still on the lookout for a 3/4 season 2 man tent? If you have an old macpac or something else lying around doing nothing, now is your chance to exchange it for some money to help upgrade gear

Well I have dibs on one but I haven't paid for it yet and I'm willing to retract my offer to buy.
Contact Blue Wombat and see how you like what he's selling

I'm sure. Buying a new ute will clean us both out of any spare money. Although I'm still going skiing I'll have to hitch up I guess
