Whats the weight? How far up the sides does the bathtub floor go (just wondering if it could also be used with a tarp etc in case of bad weather...?
Could be interested as a possible shelter for warmer fine weather as apposed to cowboy camping with no shelter at all!
Hi Mick, weight is 480 grams. The pole is not included, that's one of my hiking poles. It can be set up with a pole in the centre or two poles in an inverted V. Personally I prefer the inverted V, the whole space is useable. Obviously not a practical set up if you don't use hiking poles?
The tub height would be around 4" or 10cm depending on how you set it up, could be higher or lower?
I've had it set up under my Duomid and it fits well, it has quite a high peak so it would depend on what style tarp you have as to whether it would fit? It comes with stuff sack. There are no guy lines needed, it pegs out in the four corners, in the centre is a hole in the floor with a draw string to seal around the pole as it travels through to the ground. There is also a hang loop if you have something like the duomid where it will hang from the peak.
The floor and netting look very good, I can't fault them.
It is a Pyranet 2 but it's been modified with 2 extra zips, otherwise yes, it's the same.
Cheers
