Re-listed due to user error (was using Tapatalk & accidentally sold/locked the wrong post).

Vango Force 10 Helium 200 tent. It's been used about 6 times so is still in great condition, it's also been cleaned & aired after each trip.

It's had the following changes:
- Guy lines replaced with fluorescent yellow dyneema to reduce tripping risk.
- Pegs have been replaced with titanium pegs, those that it came with were a bit feeble.

Some notes on the tent:
- The actual weight is 1.4kg (including pegs and stuff sack)
- It's very roomy for a grown adult, I wouldn't want to share it with another person though

Happy to post anywhere in Australia.

Asking price: $220 ONO + shipping

If you have any questions please ask.

Just one door I'm afraid, here's the best video I can find to show the layout of the exact model: http://youtu.be/J4Zerpdsirk

I put a post up regarding these tents a while ago with pics etc if that helps for any potential buyers viewtopic.php?f=15&t=17190

Since this post I have had the tent out on a 5 day walk which rained every day and had some serious wind and rain one night. I added side guys and used them that night but I was warm and dry and happy considering the weather.

I'd say they are a nice tent for solo use even with one door, good luck with the sale Bubbalouie!

I use a Vaude Power lizard (have done for years). Though it's actually a similar design to this.

This is my other half's old tent, she now has a TarpTent Moment DW.

She now uses the TarpTent for the following reasons:
- 300 gram weight saving
- 2 pegs to set up, much easier and less time to get set

Edit: Other reason for selling is space, cupboards are full, which is why I'm in the process of offloading a fair bit of unused kit.

Thanks!

In a pinch yes. I am unsure it would be a good idea to do so as a matter of course.

You would need to sleep toe to head, your 10 year old would need to be quite small and you yourself wouldn't want to be too big either, there would be very little (if any) room left for your gear. To compound matters there is only one opening which means climbing over each other to get out.

It'd be workable (barely) but personally I'd recommend getting a larger tent. Sadly most manufacturers are in the habit of mislabelling the max occupancy so I'd suggest hunting for something sold as a 3 man tent.

In any case, best of luck :)

EDIT: not helping my own cause with the above "sales pitch" but I'd much rather be honest, it's very much a one man tent.

Thanks Bubba....

we only do one or two night trips at the moment but we do live in Tassie and so will need room inside to shelter ourselves and gear from the rain :D and I don't fancy being kicked in the head during the night!

I'm quite tempted by this for a solo tent. I've looked at all the reviews I could find and it seems pretty good - especially with those useless pegs replaced! Any idea how it would go in snow? Or is it strictly a 3 season?

Cheers

The tent uses pre-bent poles so they are quite strong, additionally the fly feels fairly robust.

However, my understanding is that 4 season tents need a steep roof to prevent snow loading, I think this one may not be steep enough to shed a heavy snow fall. Having never camped in the snow I really can't comment authoritavely wither way I'm afraid.

I've heard of people using these in snow (the design is quite similar to some 4 season Hillebergs) however I believe it's actually sold as a 3 season tent. If it were me I would only use a tent sold as a 4 season tent in a snowy environment, that may be inexperience speaking but I prefer to err on the side of caution.

Still for sale.

I can provide a postage quote if you can supply a suburb and post code. Pick up is fine too if you're in Adelaide.
