Hi, Does anyone know anywhere in Sydney that rents out hiking gear? Specifically for a ladies gore-tex jacket suitable for the Overland track? I would want it for about 12 days.

I've had a look on gumtree/ebay but none that are quite right. Rather not buy one as I'm not going to use it more than every few years at most.

I bet someone on here could lend you one. What size and style are you looking for?

I am after a ladies size small(ish) 3/4 length (or close). At least mid-range level jacket with a hood and peak. Doesn't have to be actual gore-tex, but a reputable quality that will withstand Overland track type rain.
If anyone would like to rent me one, I would negotiate a price (PM) and happy to leave some sort of bond for it's safe return. It will be returned in the same condition and with happy adventure memories.

Easiest to hire the jacket in Tassie. many of the bus companies such as Mountian Bike Tasmania have a range of gear for hire. Paddy Palin in Launceston also hire gear and most bus companies will pick this up and drop the gear back for you as part of their service.
