Pretty much brand spankin' new. Out of the box, cycled (discharged/recharged) once. 15000 mAh capacity, about 300g in weight (Leatherman shown for scale, not for sale). Not a cheapo eBay job out of China - it's a Kaiser Baas with some good quality cells, so you should get more than two recharges out of it.
Works TOO well - recharged my Galaxy Note 2 5 times over, so I can easily afford to go for the smaller, lighter option.
But if you're carrying it on longer trip and using your smartphone to navigate, the extra weight means you can probably keep your average smartphone running for a week or so. Slip it in your backpack, charge as you walk. It'll also charge anything else from a USB cable - tablets, GPS's and so on.
