Old topic cleanup

This post is to advise everyone that there will soon be a cleanup of the Market Square and Lost Property forum.

The rules for this forum state in part:
For Sale / Wanted topics will expire after 3 months if there are no replies by the OP (original poster) in that time.
Lost / Found topics will expire after 6 months if there are no replies by the OP in that time.
Locked and expired topics will be moved to the "Sold, Claimed and closed" sub-forum by the moderation team, contact a moderator if you wish to have a topic restored.
People should update their topics with a reply indicating its status if they wish to keep the topic open.

There are a lot of posts in this forum that have expired. Rather than move them all in one hit, I would like to give everyone a little notice to update their posts if they wish to have them remain active.

If you have a post which is 3 or 6 months old (depending on its type) and you would like to keep the topic active, simply add a reply and the clock resets.
Otherwise, old and expired topics will be moved out of the Market Square.

This rule application is to attempt to keep the market square forum active, thus making it easier for people to browse the topics looking for something they might like without having to skim over old topics.


EDIT - Having given notice, I am now beginning to move all expired topics from the Market Square to the expired topics forum.

Just had a big cleanup and moved many expired posts to the Archive section.
If you are the creator of a post in this Market Square forum, you can keep it active simply by adding a post saying something like "still available" within the timeframe.
