[WTB] Geelong Will collect Trailerboot

I already have a decent 4*6 trailer and access to bigger ones at need.
But The Boss just bought a new vehicle and we need a little more storage space than a roof pod.
I haven't seen a trailer-boot for sale in over a decade but we are now looking for something similar
Maximum size about 800 X 1000mm and smaller would be better because of the fuel economy factor, just big enough for a couple of small suitcases, the cots and sleeping bags and a smallish dome tent

Trailers that small tend to be a pain to tow as they flick around all over the place. Maybe something attached to the towbar might be better?

That's the drawbar length doing that I find, don't care how long the drawbar is up to the legal maximum length for an exempt trailer.
The Hitchmate is way more money than I want to spend on this, I can get a S/H trailer for close to that

What are the rules for exempt trailers? Not sure we have them in Tasmania.

Very generous
up to 750kg GVM no registration but all lights etc must be to ADRs, not longer than 3000mm and no wider than the towing vehicle

Mind you registration of a small trailer is only $58-
It's the inspection and appointment fees that they really sting you for, that adds up to more than the registration fee and no pensioner discounts. VicRoads is just another arm of the Tax Department here in Victoria

Alternatively would somebody here have a very small camper-trailer we could hire for 2 weeks??
All the hire ones here are far to big for 2 pax

MD you don't have to register a 6 x 4 trailer. Provided the load is kept within the trailer and doesn't overhang out.

That is only true in Victoria, go over the border into SA/NSW or QLnd and the rules are very different and very costly for non-compliance
