I am doing a Spring-clean out of my cupboards. (Blame that Japanese declutterer Marie Kondo on Netflix)
The Thermarest NeoAir Xlite is a year old. It's been used for a couple of nights. I bought it from Paddy Palin in Melbourne city shop.
I planned to use it for my Overland Track hike, but when I inflate it all the way, I find it too flat, and I've got big hips and smaller waist so it's not so comfortable for me to have it fully-inflated as my curves sit awkwardly on it flat. But if I let out some air, it's way more comfortable, but makes a crinkly noise when I move around or roll over. (I'm a side sleeper).
Plenty of people love the NeoAir Xlite mat, and most of the ultralight thru-hikers use them.
But I confess I took a great big heavy Self-Inflating mat (Sea to Summit Comfort Plus Self-Inflating mat in large) on my Overland Track hike, with an otherwise relatively light base weight of 8 kg. (My heavy Sea to Summit Self-Inflating mat was 1.2 kg of my 8 kg base weight!) The reason I did such a crazy thing, is I knew I was guaranteed to get a good night's sleep on my car camping mat, whereas the Thermarest NeoAir I was just scared I might not sleep soundly, as I'm very sensitive and struggle to sleep on trail.
Hence I didn't use the NeoAir Xlite for my Overland Track hike. And I have a bunch of other mats in my wardrobe - like Thermarest 20th Anniversary Self Inflating mats. And as I have a 2 year old, I'm also a bit wear of using an airmat with her in proximity as she tends to jump on the mats.
Hence selling my NeoAir Xlite.
It has no patches or holes. It's in very good condition.
I would like to see it go to a good home - well tent, and someone who'll use it and love it.
