Lightheart Gear SoLong 6 model tent - Silpolyester 30 Denier (more durable than standard 20 Denier)
This is a US brand Lightheart Gear manufactured tent, model 'SoLong 6'.
The tent is famous for being longer than standard 1 person tents, suitable for people who are 6 foot 4 tall, or generous for shorter people. (I'm only 5"7 but loved the extra length and width).
It also has an awning option which is pitched with a carbon fibre awning pole which means that when it's raining you can have the awning out and door open and watch the rain. Or it can be like a private covered mini-balcony area to your tent in the sun. And if you don't want it out, there's a carabiner that clips the points together to have it storm mode.
Length: 100" inches / 254 cm
Width: 30" - 50" inches / 76 cm - 127 cm
Peak height: 45" inches / 114 cm
Weight of tent: 1.1 kg
(Seam-sealed and in 30 Denier Sil-polyester tent, with weight including fibreglass ridgepole.)
Colour: Blue

Manufacturer listing of SoLong 6 tent: https://www.lightheartgear.com/collecti ... t-solong-6
NB: The current fibreglass ridgepole is designed to fit Leki Corklite trekking poles, and will fit others the same size end. Or you could order a new fibreglass ridgepole if you have different or difficult sized trekking poles, or you can buy optional tent poles from Lightheart Gear.
The optional awning pole is additional 60 grams if you choose to take it out with you on your bushwalks. (But you could leave it at home and just find a suitable length stick)
The tent was a sample of the new Sil-polyester that the owner Judy is transitioning her tents to. She is running them in a 20 Denier, whereas this tent sample is 30 Denier. This makes it arguably more durable, stronger, but at an ever so slight weight penalty as the fabric is slightly heavier.
Price: AUS $270
(To buy a SoLong 6 tent currently retails for US $298 + $30 for awning pole option + $30 for seam sealing costs = US $ 358 (equivalent to AUS $530)
+ cost of courier freight to Australia, so it's approximately AUD $600 to buy this tent new.)
Pick-up from Melbourne, or I can send out within Australia for $20 including packaging and postage with tracking and signature required.
Any queries, don't hesitate to message me.
Reason for selling: I have LOVED this tent to bits, and the only reason I'm selling it is that I have a daughter who is now 4 years old, and I take her with me and the tent is getting too small for both of us so I'm just not using it realistically anymore.
It is approximately 2 years old, and I've used it to hike the Overland Track (4 nights) and Wilson's Prom (2 nights), so 6 nights out total. The bottom of the tent will be dusty from my last trip, but is otherwise in great condition, and a very happy liveable strong durable tent.
