[LOST] Black Mont Top on Cape Pillar Track

Once an item is sold, found or thread is no longer needed we move it here. These maybe helpful for historic reasons.

[LOST] Black Mont Top on Cape Pillar Track

Postby abowen » Wed 07 Apr, 2010 3:23 pm

Thought that i would post this on the outside chance that someone may have found a black Mont Slinx top on the Cape Pillar track. Lost the top over the Easter break somewhere between Chasm Lookout and Perdition ponds. It was too late in the day to go back and search and I didn't want to be stumbling around cliff edges in the dark. Unfortunate bit of littering on my behalf.
My favourite top too!!! Happy to pay small reward.
Please PM me if you have any information.
Cheers
Andrew

Re: Lost gear on Cape Pillar Track

This forum really needs a lost and found section.
I also lost something in the exact same area on my last visit to Tassie - a pair of Shimano sunnies, in a black moulded plastic case. Most likely both items have long since vanished over the cliffs.

Good idea. Would be for a worthy cause. Litterring tracks with lost gear isn't a good look. Although I suspect most of it is found and adopted by new owners. I would be happy to post found items - I know how much this gear can cost and sometimes it isn't easy to replace.

The jacket has been handed in to the Parks Head Office in Hobart. A big thank you to the walker that returned it - if you are a BWT forum reader. It's very generous of you to carry it out and go to the trouble of delivering it to the Hobart office. It's nice to get lucky break.
Cheers
