I think everyone is chasing these packs nowadays, once people get them they rarely pass them on.

Good luck though.
Nothing to see here.

I'd sell my Strezlecki, but only if I got enough money for it to buy a McMillan. :-) So that would not be a very good deal, really. Sorry.

thanks guys, had a look at that pack but already bought one new from the sale at snowgum. Maybe it's 3.5kg because it's an older model that has been in storage.
Ended up buying a stiletto, can't wait til it turns up, shame though that I couldn't try it out first, but no stores where I live...
Only a week or so left til I leave on a trip to Bougainville, hope I can fit everything in it.

Hi

Friend has the Stiletto and it is a great pack. It is around 2.7 kilograms and 70 litres in the medium and 75 litres in the long. Hers is the medium which is just on the upper limit in adjustment for me, but probably a bit short so can not steal it :( . Basically a bucket with the best traditional harness on the market, the Exact Fit Plus. The McMillan in the long is around 3.2 kilograms. The prize fighter is the Bass at 4.5 kilograms for 85 litres. Carried one for four months when back packing around Europe and honestly it looks like it just came from the shop. Great for backpacking and the occasional bush-walk but the McMillan is the one for large and heavy loads, though sorely tempted by the Stiletto.

Must not buy another pack, must not buy another pack, repeat chant until sale ends.

Cheers Brett

My stiletto arrived today, lots more roomy than I expected, harness is amazing. Not sure what to do with ice axe attachments but they look cool :D

Only problem found so far is I can't pack it standing up due to the curvature on the bottom of the pack, but I guess I'll get used to that.

Hmm, this probably no longer belongs in this subsection.

Leaving to cairns Saturday, Port Moresby Tuesday, Bougainville Wednesday, baggage handlers better look after my new pack... :|
