Here's a few pics from my trip into Mt Anne on Australia Day.
Was on the track at 7:30am, got to the hut after about 90min and had a chat with 3 nice gentleman who had stayed the previous night, and had decided to bunker in for another day as the weather was drizzly outside with no views. Whilst talking, a father and son team arrived at the hut, none other than forum member mjdalessa who was doing Anne as a day walk, and as Anne was my goal, I tagged along. We summited a wet Mt Anne just after midday with views of around 10m

After sitting on top for about 30min we realised that it wasn't going to clear up so headed down. I then headed to shelf camp and my new-found friends headed off.
As I set up home for the night at shelf camp the weather started clearing mid-afternoon. At 5:30 I wandered back up to the saddle and then decided to summit Anne again to spectacular views in all directions. I stayed on top for around 2 hours or so then ducked down to the saddle as the sun was fully setting over the horizon.
The next day was a beauty as I wandered out, and around, and up, and over and then finally back down. Views through to the WAs, Federation and PB were a treat, as were views over Lake Pedder and further afar.
All in all, my first south-west experience was a beauty. A few pics......................
