What are the chances of this happening?

Attached images can be any resolution so long as the file size is no more than 1 MB (attachments will be displayed by the forums as thumbnails no larger than 800 pixels linked to the full-size image).

I saw this on a recent bushwalk at Mount Donna Buang (10 June 2012), It's a little hard to see but a tree has fallen splitting a tree fern in half.
