8th Gorge, Katherine Gorge NP

Hi all, thought I'd try my hand at uploading a couple of photos from my walk the other day? Over nighter (30 odd km return) to suss out the new boots, Southern Walks Katherine Gorge NP, had my own waterfall, plunge pool and views of the gorge, love it up there. Little freshie (1.5foot) for company in the plunge pool, always amazes me how they get there as it is 100m above main gorge and not exposed to wet season water levels?! Any hoo, the photos, see how I go :)

Thanks for sharing. Looks like a lovely spot. Not sure I'd be keen to share with a "freshie" of any size.

Freshies are harmless. So they say.

This is one spot in my plans for the road trip. Will be paddling as far up the gorge as I can, but also doing the clifftop track all the way and back. Thanks for the photos.

Thanks fellas, there are up to and just over 3m freshies in the gorge. There's just common sense approach required, they're just not interested in us, avoid us in fact. Of course the silly things'll bite you if you annoy it, corner it or step on it... Fight or flight! You swim with them through out the gorge, the NP blokes steer you clear of the breeding beaches, they are magnificent animals :)
