Looks like it was a great day for a walk out at Kanangra. I did K2K last year around this time which was great. I'd love to do more walking out there including going to visit the falls but it's so far out in the middle of nowhere. It takes me forever to get there.

I hope somewhere in your photo album you have this photo. Its seems everyone that goes to Kanangra takes it. I think Tyrone Thomas has one of himself on a bicycle out there.

Sigh. Yes I second that, would also love to do some more walking out there but the tyrrany of distance makes it difficult. Plenty of options for overnight/weekend trips but I'd need to take 1 or 2 unpaid days off work to make them practical :(. I went there for the first time early July. Was having a long weekend at Jenolan to do some wild caving and we decided to drive out to Kanangra for a short walk on the Sunday before returning home. I didn't realise how bad (potholed) the road is. We walked down to Dance Floor Cave then out across Maxwell Top on the Plateau walk to the same point where Ian took his first photo. Then my wife had one of those "I'm getting too far from civilisation and this is taking too long" moments (she isn't a bushwalker), so we headed back to the lookout. Unfortunately ran out of time to walk down to the falls as it's nearly 3 hours drive home. A couple of shots:

I actually entered what I thought was the best pic in this month's competition but I had so many that seemed reasonable. I couldn't take your shot with me in it as I was unfortunately on my own and I'm not Usain Bolt so I couldn't make it over there in less than 10 seconds! Anyhow, I'll add a couple more.
