Not Quite Bushwalking But ....

As the subject says, not quite bushwalking but some pics from a 3 week road trip in UK/Ireland.

Thanks for sharing Geoff. Inspiring shots, looks like a wonderful trip 
. I briefly travelled parts of the UK back in the early 90s, didn't get to Ireland but visited the Yorkshire Dales and Lakes District among other places around England, Scotland and Wales. Would like to go back eventually for a longer stay. Recently read a magazine article on Wainwright's coast-to-coast multi day walk that passes through the Dales. It sounded like something I could aspire to.

Not sure what you mean? Most were taken at F20/22 to get good depth of field, using a tripod where necessary. Some of the distant scenery may not seem sharp due to the hazy atmosphere that we often encountered, and the light which is much 'softer' than in Australia.

Beautiful pics, makes me want to go back. What is the reddish ground cover plant in the second fourth and fifth photo?

Fantastic photos, makes me want to go to Ireland even more. Cant complain about these photos, pity theres no yearly international photo comp on this site. Thanks for sharing

makes me want to go to Ireland even more
Yeah, Ireland has some stunning scenery, as do Scotland and Wales. Those 3 places were the highlights of the trip.
