Some abstract stuff - 37 images + 17 more

Postby tasadam » Thu 21 Oct, 2010 4:45 pm

To celebrate my 3000th post on the forum, I thought I'd make a gallery post.
I'm currently working on some abstract stuff for a venue that opens in a couple of weeks.
Here are some of the images in the shortlist, these are heavily compressed and 800 pixels max.

EDIT. Part 2 -

To compare these two images... This is the same image upside down - looks like they are black rocks protruding from the rock face...

And to compare two different edits of the same image. Both have the green channel desaturated.
The difference between the two is the second one has had the blue & aqua channels dropped a fair bit as well.

Lastly, here's a 100% resolution crop of one of the above images...
The soft look comes from the JPG compression, gives you an idea of size and detail.

Gorgeous stuff Adam, well done - but I don't see them as abstract, It's just observing the landscape in a different way :)
Half my pics are of textures and the like, they're just not as good as yours :(

Great shots Adam!

Just goes to show that even when the conditions are bad for landscape photography, there is still something to photograph if you have the eye for it.
