Stacks Bluff on film

Went for a wander up Stacks Bluff yesterday and decided to take along my LX for something different... I only had 400iso B&W film so don't expect the most detailed photos ;)

It's the first time I've been up there and it's a great little day walk. I had a perfect cold and clear day and the views from the top and on the way up are pretty amazing. The weird tarn/lake in the middle of the scree-slope is especially interesting (odd). Must say though the scree is a bid dodgy - it still hadn't thawed out by late afternoon and everything was covered with frost and ice and very slippery. Also a lot of very loose areas...

All shot on a Pentax LX and SMC M35/f2 with Ilford XP2 400

Ilford XP2 400. That brings back some memory, I still have all my B&W gear, have not used them in years, the digital age has really changed photography.

film is wonderful stuff, especially b&w. I like #2,3 and 5 best, the last one showing the dappled trunks is nice. A yellow filter might help you darken the sky and see the clouds well! Thanks for posting!
