The chances of them having laxitives handy at the 'right' time would be fairly slim. And it would not be revenge, because your note would have stopped them taking anything. (That's the theory, anyhow).

A good argument for buying a Pacsafe Prosafe. Put food in tough bag, put in exomesh and lock that sucker. You can even tie it to a pole! That said, all the Leatherman-carrying walkers may be tempted to cut through the wire to see what's so valuable. Maybe bag, mesh, bag is best. Heavy to carry out but lighter than dragging your starving bones!

Retaliation would have been a better choice of words. I suspect that the thief would view any food in tamper-proof packaging as safe for consumption.

An example of a readily available 'worse', would be metho added to the plonk which '...will leave everyone blind'

Cheers

But they wouldn't have anything to retaliate against, as they would not have taken anything from the package, because of the note saying that ONE of the items had laxative added to it. That was my theory, anyhow. But with human nature... who knows what would really happen? :-)

Not personally but have known fellow walkers who would have loved a "Laxette" to ease the burden

See, that's where you made your mistake. You should never have married her in the first place.
