New Years Eve Camping

Postby tigerprawn » Thu 08 Nov, 2012 8:23 pm

Hi everyone

I was just wondering if there are any good spots (ideally within 3 hours of Sydney), which had walker access only to camp for New Years Eve? Looking to spend the night camping, but obviously want to be somewhere where there is only walker access to avoid bogan utes getting hammered all night.

Carey's Peak, Barrington Tops.
Great views of the fireworks all around from up there @ 1520m.

Heaps of other good options close to Sydney but a lot might be busy.

There, It's out. I said it, Ahh I feel better now

I like the idea of Carey's Peak. I would imagine you could see fireworks from far as the Central Coast, up to Muswellbrook, across to Newcasle and Port Stephens.

Have you been there Forest on NYE?
