Oh wow - training lyrebirds to mimic the sound of a leafblower??? There goes peace and quiet in the bush forever.

I once encountered a Lyrebird whose (almost) entire repetitior was artificial! It was near an old saw mill between Bogong and Mt Beauty. Dog barking, circular saw, car starting, shot gun blast, pull start a chain saw; this bird could do it all and more. It just threw in a Kookaburra and Curlew for good measure.

But there's something particularly evil and awful about leafblowers.
I'm going to make a bumper-sticker: JUST SAY NO TO LEAFBLOWERS (not all technology is made better with a motor or battery).
Place your orders

I am raging at a leafblower right this moment.

Its rainy and windy and some fool is using a leafblower.

Yeah!
I hear your pain brother!
Nothing Sh!ts me in this world as much as people using noisy consumptive disruptive technology to do a poor job of something more elegantly done with simpler technology.
Oh! Except (of course) for gratuitous exploitation of resources, disregard of the importance of nature, violence against women and minorities, promotion of mob-stupidity above intellect, unnecessary consumption, media/political presentation of an individual's private investment as public good, blind population growth and anthropocentric excuses for human development in natural areas......
.....after THAT nothing sh!ts me like *&*% *#ing leaf blowers!

I'm in.
There is a lawn mower man that mows the elderly lady across the street's lawns etc. and all he does is blow the clippings and leaves over our side of the street.
It is very tempting to get an even bigger blower and blow them straight back at him........but that wouldn't be "nice" would it.
The lazy b....... err chap ought to sweep them up.

Sweep them up yourself and present him with the bag next time he arrives. If he won't accept it, dump the contents in/on his car.
