Welll.. beside myself was a bit 'tongue in cheek'.. It is a lot easier to defend wilderness already within reserves though. No politics, exaggerations, trade-offs or diss-affected communities, just this concept of 'minimal'-impact and all it entails.

What an odd thread- forum eat forum! It was actually a great question, interesting concept, worth discussing, a small part of a larger set of issues.. had it all!! It must be obvious that i don't personally like the idea (probably the precedent more than anything). That aside it did get a bit ruff n tumble. I think Matt deserves credit, trying to do the right thing it seems... and yes maybe the best way to limit damage is by increased tailored info. A bit like backburning I'm not sure, I can't see it but still worth discussion?
