you will also have to keep in mind mate, that the GNW heading north
inbetween the crossing of Sams Creek up to the Berowra Link track - on Matt's map inbetween 6.34 to 7.01 klms - is quite a steep ascent !

robertoman to do Galston to Crosslands.........the facilities at Crosslands are very good. Heading north downhill from Galston Gorge, and after a little waterfall called Small Falls (viewable after/during rain) you reach alongside Berowra Creek and from there alllll the way to Crosslands its relatively flat walking. A short distance before Crosslands - about 1.4 klms - there is a beautiful spot to pitch a tent overnight amoung the trees right beside the GNW. Its known as Berowra Creek Campsite or BlackAsh. Its marked at 4.69 klms on Matt's Wildwalks map here >>>>>
