I videoed my wife trying to walk though the wind and may post it later. But this is the first shot of our tent, that I bought off Phillip here. Love the tent has heaps of room for both of us and never even moved a inch though all the high wind. Oh it's a Hilleberg Nammatj 2 GT if anyone was wondering

East of Cleve Cole Hut or in Camp Valley?

This was near Fitzerald Hut

Beautiful light.
You should send that picture in to Hilleberg

Yeah the light was nice, I'm hoping to get a better one in December

Thanks Giddy up,
There are tent sites along this rollercoaster ridgeline from Drynans Hut to Mt May , especially
in the saddles, and some have views...just not as fantastic as this one.

All great shots, the pic with the tent and bike near the river is a trout fishers dream. Looks like the top bidgee.

From our recent trip to NZ. Camped on the Livingstone Range. The tent is a Big Agnes something or other. Just big enough for the two of us but no room for our gear which stayed outside in a plastic pack liner.

first of all very new to all of this as well but here are a few of my pictures.

Set up in Qld (forget exact location) a little tester for mine, and the girlfriends hammock

Second wasn't so much of a 'hiking' trip. Photos' were taken out on a private property hunting in northern NSW. It was a shame the river had dried up a few weeks before I arrived, it would have been spectacular.

I think a decent little camera needs to be added to my ever growing list...

Some of the bivvy sites I found on the HRP. The Soulo proved to be a pretty amazing companion for this trip :)

And a local one with the new Nammatj. Lake Myrtle is probably one of my favourite Tassie spots :)

Yep. Wow Nick. Beautiful shots, thanks for putting them up :D

This ones a bit different. This is what a Scarp1 looks like as it's getting pummeled by wind gusts up to 100kph. It survived all night under these conditions and was jammed into a pack the next day in a hail storm. Happy days!!

The standard here is getting out of control! SBS, I didn't know the Scarp1 had round corners, looking like a Mongolian yurt. LOL

Re: Camping/hiking setup pictures

Fri 30 May, 2014 8:09 pm

Haha... I really need to write up a trip report. The fellow that took this shot(I was inside holding the yurt together) had his tent rip and spent the night inside my yurt helping to hold it together. The gusts would go under the tent and lift our legs off the ground. Kudos to the yurt er I mean Scarp...

Awefully tempted by one of those Scarps when it comes time to replace the Soulo :)

Hey Nick, what's with the rock ring around the tent at Lac du Portillon or do they just have very big fire rings in that country.

Must be the land of giants. They are ready to start their bonfire and dinner. I think Jack was there earlier.

Just something they do in those parts :) I'm assuming as a weather shield, although it wasn't very effective...
