so if you have any period during a day when you dont have spare glucose to feed your brain your body will break down muscle to get enough glucose...

It's clearing up now, simply lots of water and less red meat in my diet for a short time.
I agree but the thing is I didn't "Feel" fat or overweight beforehand

I always understood that bonking was associated with the depletion of muscle glycogen store, at least primarily. Didn't know the end point was defined by the hepatic store. Bonked once on the bike and it was not nice. A can of coke made a difference but the effect was relatively short lived. It was a struggle to get home.
