Free to good home - a bag of feathers/down

Postby gayet » Sat 13 Sep, 2014 7:41 pm

Hi

In preparation for a near future departure from Tas, I am hoping someone in the Hobart area would like a bag of feathers/down.

I'm sorry I can't give any details on the quality or quantity - I inherited the bag from an aunt and have not had the time or inspiration to do anything with it yet. And I am not packing it up to put in storage till I decide where to next.

It is in a lovely red fine cotton bag, without channels or baffles, fully sewn up. The bag measures 162cm x 183 cm and while it has been stuffed in the bottom of a cupboard for the last 3 years, some idea on its lofting ability can be gathered from the pics below. This was it dragged out of the cupboard and shaken out to full size. I did get to marking the centre of it once - hence the line of safety pins  Please PM me if interested.

I'm very interested, Gaye, but I can't contact my Hobart friend till tomorrow, to check on pickup possibility. Reckon you'll have a few people interested very soon though...
