Your most bizarre/funniest moment while bushwalking

One of mine was just out from Rocamadour,turned a corner & came across all these guys dressed up in Village People gear, walked past a bit uneasily , they spotted the OZ flag on my pack & of course I had to go back & sample the eats & wine........not much walking was done that day !! ..........Vicrev

Easy this one stands out, whilst walking around KNP I came across a chap praying with rosemary beads in hand, Buddhist flags fluttering in the wind tied to him and wearing earmuffs. Apparently he had to use the earmuffs because when you got away from it all, its hard to mediate because nature was sooo noisy and he had to block it out some how.
Have to say that I'd welcome him around the campfire anytime as the discussion was eclectic, challenging, lively and thought provoking. A very bizarre man

Lake Payanna is south of Junction Lake, on the Travellers Range, east of the Overland Track. Lake Payanna is a good day or two of walking from the nearest access point, and entails walking off track. I was having a splash in the shallows when a canoe floated in, scaring the hell out of me. The occupant and his mate had carted collapsable canoes to the plateau and were paddling over as many as they could each summer. Then they stashed the canoes and came back next summer.

I saw a walker attempting to lug 20 litres of water from the Howitt car park to Mac Springs, about five kilometres.

Probably because the person was just walking along minding their own business when they came across you in the throws of passion and they were thinking the same thing. Mind you I admire your persistence after getting caught a few times

I stumbled across a nude photo shoot on the Ice House Track on Mt Wellington one snowy winter's day. It was a full on professional set up with lighting and half a dozen people busy doing their stuff. Awfully cold!

was walking the coastline in Auckland beneath cliffs... there was a chap on the beach playing with himself as i walked past.. he was on his own, but round the corner were people on the beach... as soon as i was out of view and in cell phone range, i rang police... 5 mins later the police helicopter was hovering over him... he must have just about had heart failure...

Did the same except that I nodded my head and said' a good day for it' and kept walking. My mates behind me just cracked up laughing.
