Wasn't quite as easy for me. Seems if you had Google Plus (paid product from years ago) then it left a setting in the registry that causes an issue. All sorted after a few emails to GE for a new key.

No problem! Probably only the hard-core users will see any benefits from the pro version. I use it mainly for loading up my GPS waypoints/tracks into the satellite imagery.
Plus its ruler tool (set to path) is damn handy for getting rough approximation of non-straight line distances.
