Simple windscreen modification

Postby simonm » Sat 07 Feb, 2015 8:24 am

Hey all,

Sometimes the quick and easy mods are the best. Recently I purchased some new (secondhand) titanium Snowpeak pots (Trek 900 and 1400), but I discovered that the handle of these pots prevents them from being lowered down onto the stove when using the TATO aluminium windscreen. So on a recent walk up Quamby Bluff I had to leave the screen open, which wasn't a problem but obviously needed to be addressed for future walks.

An easy solution is to take some tin snips and make a cut out through which the handle of your pot will sit. Simple and I saved about 1/100 of a gram, which is great news for the ultra-lighters.
