WTB: single hiking pole.

Hello, I'm after a single hiking pole. It doesn't have to be new as I'll be mostly using it to setup my tarp and I do t feel like spending $100 for a new one.

Mountain Designs and Anaconda stock the single Loki poles, when they're having a sale I think they're around $70 which is when I got mine. I hardly ever used my two hiking poles but since getting the single pole with the horizontal handle I take it everywhere. There's the quick-release version (Anaconda) and the twist version with impact spring or whatever they call it (MD).

Or if you're feeling like something cheap and nasty Kmart sell walking poles.

Or you can get single carbon fibre flicklock poles from AliExpress at a much lower price than anything the stores here stock. They're almost as good as the Black Diamonds, in my opinion.

This is what I use.
I have done alot ( over 3500kms) with it. bent it a bit on the Mt Anne Circuit before Christmas. I just carefully bent it straight.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I was hoping to find something that I could use and rely on if need to so a cheap one doesn't really tickles my pickle.

For bike camping I use 25mm Orange electrical conduit,
About 450 long, using sockets to join the prices together.
All sourced from Bunnings Electrical at around $25.

Get a pair of old ski poles the right size; throw one away
Cost may be $4-
Ski poles are more than strong enough for walking, in fact I've often seen CF poles for sale but all too short for me
