Have been experimenting myself with the chocolate version over the weekend.I used a 400ml kathmandu aluminium cup with orange plastic handle(my usual hiking coffee cup) placed in an el cheapo 900 ml aluminium pot with enough water to just float the cup as it cannot turn upside down with my little aluminium frypan as lid.This worked out very nice after 15 minutes simmering after I varied the amount of water I added to get it right using my usual plastic spoon as my measuring device.The only problem is that I can't have a coffee with my cake if I use my coffee cup to cook the cake and my hiking/fishing mate would not be too happy

I will keep an eye out for a suitable lightweight cooking vessel.
