Heading up the scree to Rats Castle?
Sun 17 Nov, 2019 10:40 am
There's a big scree field below Rats? I don't recall one. There is, however, one on the way up (or down) Sandbanks Tier.

Right area but wrong side of the lake.

Thats the one, I can't remember if this was taken on the way up or way down but it doesn't matter anyway.

That looks like Cathedral Mountain/Twin Spires in the distance, and if it is, maybe from Reedy Lake?
Sun 17 Nov, 2019 7:52 pm
Tarn of Islands?
Sun 17 Nov, 2019 8:32 pm
Torty is closest, but not quite right.
Sun 17 Nov, 2019 10:27 pm
A few unnamed tarns in the area, but maybe Lake Steers?
Mon 18 Nov, 2019 5:05 am
Some of those tarns and small lakes are no longer unnamed. I took Lake How as a starter and then went through What, Where, When and Why.
Oh, and definitely Lake Steers. Is a good place, though II was surprised to find out it had a name. Some of my maps are a bit too old.

Had a good line of site to Cathedral from there.
On Google Sat you can even identify your dead tree.
Where were these girls?

Where is this?
Tue 19 Nov, 2019 1:38 pm
Esperance?
Tue 19 Nov, 2019 1:43 pm
Nowhere near Esperance.
Tue 19 Nov, 2019 2:55 pm
Rocky Hill?
Tue 19 Nov, 2019 3:09 pm
Close enough. Some people might call this lump Rocky Hill South.
