Yes eggs, Athabasca Falls off the Icefields Parkway in the Rockies. Pumping an amazing amount of water when we were there.

Much smaller, but you are in the right area. This one is about colours - and there is a coloured lake nearby.

It could be the Pukekaikiore feature just west of Mt Tongariro. Anyway, I am pretty sure it is that place that was in one of the LOTR movies, hehehe!
