Well I guess the eyes do elevate a little - Yes that is Rigi from the railway trip.

It was a long time ago but I have good memories of riding the train up there.

That was the clue, it's pretty close by. This beach/location shares its name with an inner Hobart suburb.

Yes, the beach at Battery Point near Haines, and that pretty much describes the short hike we did in the Chilkat State Park.
I managed to get some great photos of an American bald eagle sitting on a rock here.
Unfortunately he flew off when I got a bit too close. All yours.

No guesses so time for a hint, it is a near the town of Idyllwild. Actually this might be a little to obscure. I had the wrong mountain in my mind.
This was the mountain I wanted identified and was thinking it was the same mt as in previous shot. Sorry.

Yes that one takes mine a step even further . I thought a very easily solvable one might be good for a change as the international game often gets stuck.
