You're in the right half of the park but this is a different village and trail.
Much smaller furry aquatic critters, and the previous military clue, hold the key to the answer.

Interesting to see that you were around the 2000m ASL there, and Mammoth Springs looks fascinating.

Mammoth is actually a little lower in elevation than many other parts of the park.
We spent around 5 nights there and I found it and the rest of Yellowstone very fascinating.
I'd always wanted to visit YNP since childhood, and hope to return one day, if we're ever allowed to travel again .

Most of these places require one to have been there - or seen some travelogues.
So the clues become very important to track it down.

I'd say that's true of 80% of the international game photos. And most of us haven't been everywhere.
e.g. most of the Scandanavian ones do my head in as I've never been there, and there are a myriad of obscure fjords and other features.
But I research them as a form of mental exercise and often arrive at the answer, although it can be a circuitous route.
There was no shortage of clues in the last photo. It had a very clear skyline and I'm always happy to answer questions, but they are rarely asked.
Do we need a different format for this category to make it easier for people?

I don't know, but I''ll open the bidding with Mont Blanc.

Waimea is a name that seems to feature a bit around the Hawaiian Islands. I remember we went to a luau at another Waimea on Maui. Anyway, yes this is Kauai's spectacular and interesting Waimea Canyon. As is the drive up there when you only occasionally drive on the wrong side of the road and the wrong side of the vehicle.

My research is telling me Gullfoss ("Golden Falls") in the canyon of the Hvítá river, southwest Iceland.

That was quick Last, yes, have you been up there?
Apart from the wonderful views and altitude sickness at the summit, I was intrigued that the train speedo never deviated from a sedate 9 mph all the way up.
Well, other than stopping to let other trains pass. Having a position close behind the driver gave me an awesome outlook.

Look at it this way Wobbly: the further north we go there is a proportionally decreasing land mass to search, as opposed to the S direction which would give us 9/10 of the #%$&@! planet to check over (disclaimer: quoted quantities are only approximate due to my lack of attention during mathematics classes). This pictured landscape has a particularly barocque look to it so its gotta be a fjord somewhere....
