Wrong direction. You pass here to get to your previous guess.

I had to scratch my head to get an idea of the "recently mentioned" spot, but this is perhaps pointing to Judds Charm

Correct eggs.

Friendly beaches

I reckon the location is most of the way along the beach (well, up behind the beach) in current top photo on ABC News Tasmania index page:
https://www.abc.net.au/news/tas/...somewhere that
I won't be camping in a few weeks time.

Thanks for rubbing it in.
PS. Just to be clear... I'm saying "Wineglass Bay".

Yes - I suspect not many go up the hill to get a shot over the beach, but this is Wineglass Bay
Sorry about the difficulties you are experiencing.

It's a nice angle on an otherwise well-known spot.

Nah... it's OK. I'm over it now. Moved on. Not at all grumpy at the red tape. And I'm looking forward to NOT carrying 20 litres of water!

It reminds me of Lady Lake, although I would have thought you'd camp closer to the hut.

It is on the plateau, but a fair way south and west of Lady Lake.

A lot of lakes in that part of the world, might be trial and error.
Depends how far away, but If we are going south
and west Lake Explorer looks a possibility.

Or Westons, or Nameless, or even as far south as Lunka.

Thanks Last. A rare instance where I've actually visited each of those spots more than once.
I haven't checked the Tassie weather this morning but it looks a bit like this up here:
