Correct Zane. Southern end of Jaffa Vale, northern tip of Lake Ball, on not the nicest day.

Lovely spot. Where was I on a nicer looking day?

About a Km north of Mt Gell. The saddle on the other side of the lake was brutal. Maybe I took a bad line but I ended up crawling and dragging my pack behind me for a bit.

Bang on. I have heard stories of pain coming through that valley, but myself and my mate managed to find a good line! Over to you

A long way from there Graham

We don't seem to have moved far. The profile of Mt Anne, etc, nearly matches my pic from Nevada. Just a little lower down.

That's close, I'm not really on Nevada though.

Scriven's Cone?

Don't remember either Scrivens or Wetpants having such a large flat area on top, and there seems to be too much of the Anne Range visible to be on the moraine north of Snowdrift although that's what it most reminds me of.

Ahhh, the saddle between Snowy South and Nevada? Or Snowy South itself? I really need to get back up there and explore more of that place.

That's it. A place worthy of exploring. The view over Honeybird Basin is quite good!

I didn't take many photos during the traverse, strangely enough, although the weather was superb. A big mistake.
A tamer view:

I can't see a name for where I think you are. The nearest named feature is goat hill but I wouldn't have thought it would be high enough and I think would give a different aspect. The view is over Blackmans Bay, Marion bay to the far right and North bay nearer right.

You're right about the view so I'll pay that, although I didn't get as far north as Goat Hill. This is descending High Yellow Bluff roughly me-wards to the old logging track below.

Clear Hill and the Thumbs is correct. Ragged range is not.

From the Sentinel Range track?

Correct NNW.
