Howards Rd near the start of the Mt Dundas track?

Isn't that in forest rather than a bit of scrub and mostly open heath/sedge?

Indeed, just below the junction with Federation Mine Creek, which is a far more interesting name, although Packers is probably more appropriate for those who chose to try to cross via the bridge ...

I haven't ventured much further than up to Legges Tor but suspected you were still in that locality.

Not in the Wellington Range area, I'm a fair distance from there.

This is probably not the view most people would photograph from this location.

Time to try to narrow this down a bit. Would you be in the Cradle-St Clair NP?
Wed 09 Dec, 2020 9:35 am
You're in Mt Field NP, Not sure exactly where.....maybe on the way up the Rodway Range?
Wed 09 Dec, 2020 9:48 am
Yes - a bit of zoom and I have the same view from the Rodway Range ridgeline - but he is lower down than this - early along the Tarn Shelf

Maryland Track?
Wed 09 Dec, 2020 2:23 pm
I will pay that. We are only a short distance out from Waldheim Chalet huts, and we are about to head for Crater Lake, but that is also basically the start of the Maryland Track.
