Well I guess we start south to north.
Are you on the wellington range somewhere?

Wrong option, and I've already given a clue.

Doesn't look like the rivulet to me. If you can keep up with changes in botanical taxonomy, you can keep up with older changes in geographical nomenclature.
Yes, I'm being petty on this one. What is the name of what I am looking at and, more importantly, from where am I looking?
Mon 14 Jun, 2021 4:25 pm
Oh come on, it's obvious enough. I might just go and sulk for a bit if you're all going to be like that.

Mother Cummings Peak [I see they swapped the names?] from [not having been there its hard to tell how far away this shot is] perhaps the ridge line between the Head and the Peak? About 400m along at around 1170m high?

Thank you. The names haven't been so much swapped as returned to older forms. The Abel is now Cummings Head, which is apparently the oldest recorded colonial name.
Close enough; it would be somewhere around half a km at the most (and a lot of scrub-dodging) south. It's a neat ridgeline with some lovely views and rockpiles.

That's a cool pic. Nice off track ridges there .. wild guess, McCutcheon?
Tue 15 Jun, 2021 8:19 pm
251m higher than McCutcheon and it has a lake directly under it.
Tue 15 Jun, 2021 8:30 pm
Hmmm 958m huh...

Mt Maconochie seems to fit the clues. Were you standing on it or are you looking at it?

Ah there's a couple of decent hills up there. Victoria and Stacks and.... um. Young maybe, Scott? Yeh that's about it.
