GAME: Where am I?

This is about 100km from Liffey Falls, and about 40km from Dip Falls.

Which puts you roughly in the Whyte Hill area, so I'm wondering if this could be near the Arthur River headwaters.

Steps on the FC track near the river?

No. This one is on the way to a well known peak. 98 steps if I remember correctly.

It's some years ago and I can't remember, is there something like that lower down on Mt Wedge?

Not Wedge. Head way north from there. This is the easier way to the top.

West from Arthur. Mmm... I thought this would be an easy one. A couple of clues. Seems like every turn or creek is signposted but I wouldn't take that on face value.

OK, the only thing that comes to mind with those comments is Roland but I don't recall steps on either of the main tracks. The longer track from Gowrie Park did have quite a few signs giving creek names, but the track I remember was wider and the forest less scruffy. And the face track is steeper than that.

That's it NNW. On the way up Mt Roland. Not the "Face" track way. Signs: O'Neills, Fresh Water, Ferny, Blackheart & Fossey Creeks, The Junction. The steps are just past the O'Neills foot bridge.
