It reminds me so much of stretches of the Little Pine River, but it can't be.
There are also some upper stretches of the Fisher River, roughly west of Lake Fox, that look like that. Or even Explorer Creek.

Looking at Hopetoun from Lucifer Ridge, looks like you're quite high up still, so maybe you're at the junction of the Crags of Andromeda? Or above Lake Rosanne?
