On the Acropolis? The column just showing. The open area below may be the bowling green along the Overland Track?

Yes, looking across to Blackwood and Sandbanks. There's some lovely walking in that area between the escarpment and yingina.

I believe you. As opposed to my solitary visit to Legges Tor many years ago via the Big Opening. If I don't get it next please jump in, I'm out doing remote bushcare all day tomorrow.

Then I'm going to assume (rightly or wrongly) that you're looking at Wilmot Bluff in the middle distance, so might be on Asgard Crag?

This was the view looking the opposite direction. I should have said I could see Heimdall crag in the far distance.

It's not Ben Lomond. The southern Ben Lomond plateau is much scrubbier than this ground, albeit still mostly easy walking.
The shot is from Mt Parmeener, looking to Western Bluff - which is the bit of the Tiers that the local indigenous people called Parmeener.
