Sorell is correct! I think we were just above that really steep point when I took this shot.

For some reason we decided to descend further south than our (good) route up. We ended up finding umpteen bluffy bits that meant retracing steeply back up several times. Your photo brought back some vague memories of similar terrain. Next:

The pic seems to line up with the the view you'd get from somewhere near the Orion Lakes Maybe standing on the high point between the largest Orion Lake and Lake Pallas
