Ooh, I know that clue! Took me long enough to work it out, iirc.

I'll claim the answer if nobody has it by tonight.

Looks a bit PBish.

Nice work Tortoise and NNW. PB is correct.
Since I'd used the crunchy clue with Tortoise in real life I think she's happy to let you have it NNW.
Over to you.

Thank you, Hills, and I trust you have a good walk, wherever you go; I'm happy to claim it as the clue means nothing to me but your second image was familiar.

It might have meant more if we'd got to the second clue, which would have been 'smooth'.

Aaaaaaahh! Thank you.

What's a smooth crunch got to do with a precipitous bluff?

Crunchy. I prefer smooth on my toast, with honey.

Crikey.
I bet you love cryptic crosswords tortoise!

About the last photo - from the Frenchman's track as it climbs Mullens?

I think I'll give that although it's not entirely accurate. It's from Mullens itself.

Generous - I should have extended the line.
Where is this young lad?

Sorry about the digression, eggs. Bells are ringing loudly, but I can't pick it.

DuCanes? Trying to narrow it down more than that ...

Right park, wrong end
Sun 11 Feb, 2024 6:15 pm
On the edge of Mt Campbell?
Sun 11 Feb, 2024 6:48 pm
Much closer, but not Campbell

I keep thinking it's gotta be Cradle somewhere, but I can't make anything fit.

Meantime, here's a real-life one to help Guy figure it out:

Near or on the lake rodway track?
Mon 12 Feb, 2024 8:12 am
Nearer to Campbell than that. It is a named peak.
Mon 12 Feb, 2024 12:17 pm
Hanson's? Although that's probably still on the Rodway track.
Mon 12 Feb, 2024 1:06 pm
Perhaps Artillary Knob.
Mon 12 Feb, 2024 1:29 pm
John pointed out the Rodway Track could be considered as rather long.
I admit my mind went to the section closer to Rodway in answering.
The lad is on Hansons Peak - Little Horn meshing with the rest of Cradle behind.

That view looks familiar, are you on the last bit of the climb up?

We were pretty much on top having lunch. Just went down the side a bit to get a good angle on him.

A long way from there but you're in the correct half of the state.

Projection Bluff?

I think now it might be wild dog tier? If so I'm awfully ashamed. I've seen that thing hundreds of times.
