John pointed out the Rodway Track could be considered as rather long.
I admit my mind went to the section closer to Rodway in answering.
The lad is on Hansons Peak - Little Horn meshing with the rest of Cradle behind.

It’s low level, definitely not on a ridge. If you look at the ground you might get a clue as to what it would be like in wetter times.

Lime Bay maybe? Although I didn't think there were similar mudflats that far around. Unless this is back towards Premaydena or Koonya? Am I allowed to guess 3 different places in one post - lol...

Thanks Graham. Sounds a bit like Thirlmere Lakes up here, fed by water table, so dries up during prolonged drought.
