I have never seen so many Koala climbing marks on one tree. Looks like this Koala has been using this tree for days maybe even weeks. Very unusual as they tend not to hang around one tree for too long.
Anyone know what sort of worm this is? When digging a hole for small shrub I unearthed this. Slightly more than 2.5cm in length. Very active in burrowing back into soil. I unearthed 2 of them, 2 holes 4m apart.
Thank you but unfortunately, none of those appear to have the "banding" of slightly darker yellow colour. It was a pale colour and the banding appeared to be subcutaneous. It was a faster mover and found 10cm or so deep.
Today's gentle stroll around the local area resulted in 3 Koalas and 2 male Red Belly Blacks fighting each other. Amazing how a walk with no expectations turned into a very interesting one.

Pair of Herons, usually referred to as 'pterodactyls' (see them in flight). They are making a lot of loud gronking noises on our verandah. B&W photo means a night shot with infra-red illumination.
